We hope to provide interesting posts that focus on the wildlife, nature and flowers that surround us at Ledmore. Anyone who comes to stay should have a good chance of seeing most of these things. Everything will be in very easy walking distance of the house, and often only a few paces away. You should also have them to yourselves, as very rarely anyone else around!
Nature at its best
My favourite walk (or bike ride) is to this view of the house with Loch Frisa in the foreground and Ben More in the background. You can see a tiny island on the right, which is a Crannog, one of two on the loch……
At last got those cheeky geese going over the house!
Two geese caught going over the house. Despite always honking to warn of their arrival, this is the first time I have managed to snap them on my iPhone!….
First attempt with our new trail camera
Well it would help if I got the camera straight, but here is the resident heron caught in our garden at last!…..
Waterfall path finally finished
Been a long project, as done it all ourselves, but at last the plants are growing back and everything is beginning to look great…..
